Co-founder and Advisor Passes On

Bill LyteIt is with profound sadness that we announce that SMVG co-founder and advisory board member Bill Lyte passed away on Sunday, August 9, at the age of 62.  Tragically, Bill died of a hemorrhage resulting from a medical procedure.  We will miss our friend, colleague and mentor.  The San Marino Venture Group commends our partner for a lifetime of achievement and sends its best wishes to the Lyte family and to all who know and loved him.

Conference room attendees - 200On September 11, 2014, the San Marino Venture Group hosted a capacity crowd at the Business Technology Center (BTC) for a lunchtime event to meet the California Energy Commission’s Erik Stokes, who outlined the multi-billion dollar EPIC grant program currently underway in California.  The audience consisted of local business leaders: bankers and financiers, lawyers and accountants, policy experts, real estate companies and energy technology entrepreneurs, largely from the San Marino, Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, although attendees came from as far away as Hawaii to attend the event.
